Training Courses
Basic Training

The course curriculum is health oriented and is more extensive than most schools, covering over 1600 hours of study in one academic year. Students must be prepared to be dedicated because the work is demanding, challenging yet enjoyable and students are trained to be organized and efficient skin care professionals. The school is equipped with all the linens, skin care products and the most advanced equipment for students use. The latest scientific knowledge and technology is taught by experienced professionals. Classes are kept small to maximize learning and each esthetic cabine, which accommodates two students is fully supplied with a complete line of skin care products and a full range of electrical equipment. The first eight months are focused on basic and advanced skin care, while the latter part of the course is devoted to body treatments, nutrition, physical fitness and preparation for final exams. Students learn by working on one another and gain practical experience during school clinic days. . The course curriculum is divided into theory and practical training.

  • Physical Fitness (Strength training, cardiovascular workout)
The public's growing awareness of health and wellness, particularly the aging baby boomers has stimulated growth in services that are more health oriented i.e. nutritional counseling and physical fitness. Scientific evidence indicates that exercise and proper nutrition can help prevent or delay the onset of disease and illness as a form of anti-aging therapy in later years. The Lam School has therefore pioneered this new area in therapy for the esthetic health professional. Patricia Lam, Former Vice Principal is the author of two books for Skin Care and health Care professional (1) Practical Nutrition for the Health or Beauty Profession (2) Nutrition, The healthy Aging Solution of which students use as a standard textbook to practice diet analysis and nutritional counseling. Students are obligated to participate in a fitness program. This includes a fitness module that includes weight training and yoga developing a fit and healthy mind and body. A separate exam for Nutrition is given and successful students will receive a Certificate in Lifestyle Management.
